Campaign to stop the incinerator sparking critical discussion in the NY Times and beyond

Our campaign to stop the nations’ largest trash burning incinerator from being built less than a mile from schools is being covered as a national story. The coverage is generating a critical discussion about who pays the health, environmental, social and economic costs that stem from how we deal with waste.

Here is a New York Times video featuring our organizing and the article covering the issue.

Here is an excellent Letter to The Editor responding to the coverage that was published in the NY Times.

And here is a story published in Grist.org following the NY Times piece.

Finally, listen to us on the Marc Steiner show discussing the issue.

Read and listen and then find out how you can get involved in the effort to stop the incinerator! https://stoptheincinerator.wordpress.com/get-involved/
